Being enviormentally friendly

I recently went to a environmentally friendly restaurant for my brother's 30 bday. He is a vegan so we had to find a place that can accommodate. however we we're also with rest of my family so it couldn't be only vegan food. We eventually found a place in san jose that calls itself original Italian food but still environmentally friendly. Now here is where i get a bit peeved... this place's food was good.. i had a steak that was cooked wonderfully and the bread they had was fantastic... however all of this i found out later was EXPENSIVE... and i don't mean.. oh a little more than usual.. i mean like holy shit.. take out a second mortgage on the house expensive.. because this fucking place said that they make all their food with organic products and their menus are made from recycled paper and la-de-da. I saw my dad's bill. 7 people eating cost about i htink it was like 2000- 3000, can't rmember actual number. But that doesn't matter.. what does is that since people believe thsi food to better for is (even if it is), they think they can charge whatever bloody hell they want. this is completely unreasonable.. it just adds to the reasoning against eating organicly grown foods.. it's all more expensive.. and money is everything. I also found out later that if we had gone to a strictly vegan only place it would've been about twice this place... HOLY SHIT PEOPLE... i'd rather go to safeway buy a nice steak for cheap grill it myself and enjoy my fucking day...

Hunting

I know a lot of people don't condone hunting/fishing, but i also know a lot of people do. I am a man for hunting/fishing, but i cannot push myself into a life of that itself... i need internet and social connection, but i belive it to be true that a good alternative to consumerist american food aka fast food, is hunting/fishing. it takes fish to catch fish, and it takes skill to catch animals. Now i'm not saying that what some people do with waiting in a tree for days with a high class rifle that not only kills said animals, but might infact ruin other nature things with other hunting supplies. What i do condone is bow hunting. Where one goes out with only 3 or 4 arrows, find an animal, take the shot, one shot - one kill, and then retrieve the kill and the arrow.. to reuse another day.. this is not sport hunting, it is survival hunting... hunting to supply food for the joy of the hunt, not the kill. anyone else believe that this could possibly be a way for many people to regain the money the waste on mcdonalds... now i realize this isn't probable for replacing consumerism, but if we as a people take away the stigma of killing animals for food instead of for sport, we could essentially regain a sense of peace for that lifestyle. a real hunter never kills more than he needs to feed himself or his family, a sport hunter kills as much as allowed by the law... those people are evil.. their the ones putting some animals on the extinct list. I propose now that we, with pulling the stigma of hunting, get rid of sport hunting fuckers so we can replace them with the probable, useful, environmental hunters that this country was somewhat founded by.

Mushroom Diet

I've been looking all over youtube and Google for an article about mushroom only diets. I look for this specific diet because my brother has come home from college with claims of the amazing affects of mushrooms only... no meat... no salad... just mushrooms. Since i can't find anything on the net about solely eating mushrooms.. this is an open post to anyone with ideas. My brother claims that not only is it a great diet to stay fit and give one all the nutrients they need, but also effective in reducing consumerism in the world because mushrooms can be grown so easily. I believe this to be complete bullshit. My brother may have lost a ton of weight he didn't need, but now he looks like he's always sick. and he titled himself a "shroomologist" claiming that he's better than any vegetarian or meat eater because of this. DO me a favor.. find evidence along with your own opinions and general social knowledge of stereotypical norms for me to protest my brothers hardcore diet. not entirely, just specifically to the "only" part. This is also an open post to any other kind of diets that are said be great for the "soul" but bad in fact for people themselves and the world...
